Support for Women At-risk in Crisis Pregnancies
The William S. Abell Foundation supports organizations that assist pregnant women at-risk in the delivering and caring for their infants.
DEADLINES:
- Letters of intent are due January 1, April 1, July 1 and October 1.
- Applications are due January 15, April 15, July 15, and October 15
Before submitting a letter of intent or application, please review the following guidelines and then go to: Am I Eligible?
Grant requests must be from nonprofits operating in:
- The District of Columbia;
- Montgomery, Prince George’s, Charles, Calvert, and St. Mary’s counties in Maryland.
The Foundation will consider applications for:
- Health services;
- Physician and obstetric nursing support;
- Sonograms and other related services;
- Pre-natal care, counseling and support;
- Other related services for needy women in crisis pregnancies.
The Foundation will not consider applications for:
- Abortions;
- Abortion counseling and/or referrals;
- Consecutive year grants;
- Organizations that are not "public charities" as described in IRC S 509(a) (1) or (2).
